How to Maximise Access to Finance
The financial landscape is constantly changing. Interest rates are rising and some lenders have recently change the way they assess loan applications.
As investors we need to understand the finance landscape and changes to borrowing rules, so that we can maximise our access to finance.
This month property finance experts Matt Punter and Nick Hague from Punters Finance will cover the following:
Matt Punter – Director, Punters Finance
Professionally, Matt worked with BOQ for a number of years including a Bank Manager role in Cairns. He then took a stake in a start-up mortgage broking business, which he then built up and sold, to become a business partner and Director of Conveyancing Works Solicitors.
In 2015 Matt set up The Savings Centre – Mortgage Broking business on the Sunshine Coast. The Savings Centre (now TSC Mortgage Brokers) is a multi-award-winning mortgage broking firm that works hand in hand with Punters Finance as a mainstream finance and mortgage broker.
Personally, Matt has been involved in both residential and commercial property investment since 2000. Matt studied a Bachelor of Commerce and has completed a Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and is accredited with the FBAA. Matt has a Life Coaching qualification coupled with many years of personal and business life coaching experience.
Nick Hague – Business Development Manager, Punters Finance
Nick has always been ambitious. He trained to be an electrician before setting up and running a successful electrical business. His business has been in operation for 16 years and now employs 12 staff members. Throughout his time in business Nick has made numerous connections within the construction, property and real estate industries. Owning and operating a business has allowed Nick to hone his management, financial, leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
Nick holds a Principal Real Estate Licence with the REIQ. He has been an active property investor and developer since 2013. Nick has completed numerous property development projects including renovations, new builds, and subdivisions. These projects have occurred through joint ventures, money partnering and project management.
Nick is now taking a step back from his business to follow his interests of finance and property development. He is passionate about helping people to make the most of their finances. Nick is a positive, intelligent, hard working and likeable person. He will always go the extra mile to ensure the best outcome for his clients.
It’s a great opportunity to connect with other investors who are currently buying, developing, renovating and selling in the property market today.
